Tip: Outdoor PVC Furniture Cleaning
To clean PVC, the newest technology for stain and odor removal uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area to remove the stain and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product such as Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, then allow it to penetrate for approximately five minutes. Rinse well. If the stain persists, repeat the process. You may also try saturating a clean white cloth with the cleaner and holding it on the stained area to allow Bio-OX to better penetrate the area. You can also use baking soda along with the Bio-OX and a damp nylon scouring pad to provide a more abrasive action. Another option is to use a solution of 1/4 cup bleach and 1 quart of water in a spray bottle, spray it on, leave it ten minutes, then wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towels.
To give your outdoor plastic furniture a shine, apply a small amount of non-gel toothpaste to the plastic surface and rub it in. Buff with a clean cloth. This tip helps remove scratches from plastic as well.
